Last Friday the Bellwood-Antis Lady Blue Devil’s traveled to Glendale and came out with a win.  With the 80-57 victory, the girls extended their win streak to 10 games.

Senior Karson Swogger once again led the way for the team, netting 35 points.  Alli Campbell followed behind her with 16 points and Makayla Carles added 10.

Even with a 23 point victory, senior leaders  Swogger and Sophie Damiano are not content with where they are and feel they need to improve.

We need to stay disciplined and continue to work hard even when we have a big lead.

“We need to stay disciplined and continue to work hard even when we have a big lead,” said Damiano.

“We need to work on coming out ready to play every game.  A slow start affects us defensively and against good teams that could cost us the game,” said Karson.

The girls will look to keep the winning streak alive tonight when they travel to Juniata Valley to face the Lady Hornets.  BA won the previous matchup back in December in the Jaffa Shrine tournament 84-72.

“We have to be ready to go.  Juniata Valley wants to beat us bad.  The stands will be packed and the fans are always loud there.  It’s an important game when it comes to the ICC standings because neither one of us wants to fall a game behind the other.  We just need to stay focused on our game plan and we’ll be fine,” said Karson.

Be sure to travel with the girls to Juniata Valley for this big ICC showdown.
