On Tuesday members of the Bellwood-Antis Chorus preformed at the Red Hat Society in Altoona. The ensemble included Ryen Beam, Sidney Patterson, Stephanie Mills, Haley McCloskey, McKenna Meyers, Grace Misera, Addison Clemente, Jack Showalter, Tanner Worthing, Hannah Hornburger, Cooper Burns, and Robert Van Kirk.

The group performed songs from the school play Footloose and songs from the upcoming spring concert that is coming up May 4.

The trip to the Red Hat Society is something the group does every year.

“We always have a really great time preforming for the ladies because they always love what we perform even though it is never something grand,” said junior Sidney Patterson.”It also was really nice to perform with the ensemble because for many of them this is their last year, so it was fun to do this with them one last time.”

Formed in 1998, the Red Hat Society is an organization for women over 50 who go to tea and wear purple dresses and red hats. The society encourages women to have fun and to gain friendships.
