Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls’ varsity soccer lost to Clearfield 3-2.
The loss dropped the team’s record to 2-3 with all three losses coming in the Mountain League.
The Lady Eagles have now lost two in a row.
“The team is struggling to find connections and get on the same page,” said B-A sophomore Riley D’Angelo. “The season isn’t going so hot right now, but hopefully we can turn it around.”
D’Angelo scored in the first ten minutes to put the Lady Eagles up 1-0 and the team held their one-goal lead at halftime. She now has eight goals this season.
Clearfield tied the game soon after halftime and went ahead 2-1 on a goal with 20 minutes to play.
Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis knotted the score once again with 10 minutes to play before Clearfield netted the game-winner with under five minutes to play.
“Last night really showed we need to work harder and get ourselves back where we want to make the playoffs,’ said D’Angelo.
