Last Thursday at the junior high football game at Memorial Field, B-A won over Mount Union 30-6 despite playing without four injured starters.

Freshman John Kost scored on an 8-yard run for one of his two touchdowns.

The junior high team finished the season undefeated, won the ICC, and beat Tyrone.

For his efforts, Kost has been chosen as this week’s Athlete of the Week.

The defense really has a tough time bringing down Crazy Legs Kost.

Kost has been playing football for seven years. He also plays baseball and wrestles, and he is involved in FCA.

To better himself, Kost said he practices a lot.

Kost actually likes the actual activity part of the sport.

“I like running the ball on offense,” he said “Football is a challenging team sport.”

Coach Burch is very pleased with his freshman running back.

“John is a tough runner that is known for his cutting ability,” he said. “The defense really has a tough time bringing down Crazy Legs Kost. He scored a lot of touchdowns this season and played solid on defense as well from his defensive end-outside linebacker spot.”

John said he would like his team to win another ICC Championship on the next level. He and his classmates will move to the varsity team next year.
