A 2015 study showed Pennsylvanians favor Swedish Fish on Halloween.

Corbin Nale, Staff Writer

Did you know that Pennsylvania’s favorite candy is Swedish Fish?

Well 78% of Bellwood-Antis high schoolers and teachers didn’t know, so you’re not the only one!

But even further, most people we spoke to don’t agree with the findings of the study, which was conducted by Influenster.

The study, which was shared on Twitter and other social media, researched what candies Americans ate most by state.

So we asked 2 questions in our mini poll.

  1. “Did you know that Pennsylvania’s favorite candy is Swedish Fish?”
  2. “What is your favorite candy?”

Here are what some students said to the questions.

Macy Decker: “No, I think it should be Hershey’s because it is made in Pennsylvania. I like multiple candies.”

Corey Johnston: “No I did not. I like Kit-Kats”

Faith Patton: “Yes I did! Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups”

Anson Jones: “No. Skittles.”

Kaelynn Behrens: “No. Skittles and Sour Patch Kids.”

Sydney Patterson: “No I didn’t. Crunch bars are the best.”

Joey Padula: “No. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.”

Phoebe Potter: “No. Candy Corn.”

Trevor Cruscial: “Yes. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.”

Mr. Naylor: “Yes I did. Reese’s Pieces.”

Mrs. Frank: “No. Hershey bars.”

Mrs. Chamberlin: “No I didn’t. Swedish Fish.”

Mr. Schrier: “No I did not. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.”
