Should we really be using cellphones in school?

Some students are not fans of the new cellphone policy.

There is a new policy at B-A allowing students to use cell phones in school, but in my opinion, it’s is becoming a huge problem in the middle and high schools. One one of the rules clearly states that students are not permitted to take pictures of people in school, but some are not following the rules. Many students are taking pictures of other students at lunch. Students are also not allowed to post pictures on social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

So, my question is: Why are we allowed to have our cell phones if specific people can’t follow the rules? The only electronics that should be allowed in school are the iPads that the school just bought for us. But then again, students are already breaking the rules about that too.

Maybe we should just say that electronics should not be allowed in school at all, besides the computers in a computer lab. But there is a positive side to having cellphones. Students can contact their parents in case of an emergency and they can play educational games on their devices.

Overall, I think I just liked school better before the tech revolution happened!
