How did serving impact you?

It gave me an appreciation for this country. It taught me how we should act, how we should treat our country, and how we should treat the people in it. We have more than any other country all around the world. This country is full and blessed and being in the service showed me that. It gave me more of an appreciation for what I have, not for what I want.

Why do you think it is important for people, especially young people, to get involved in serving their country?

It will not only give them a means to further their education, but it gives them the necessary means to be successful in life. It will help them be able to push through things they think that they can’t get through. Once you are in the military, they will teach you the necessary skills needed to push through the tough situations life brings at you.
