Tom Whitehead delivers a powerful message of his daughter Emily’s revolutionizing Leukemia treatment, which not only saved her life but changed the way cancer is treated.

On Friday, January 26, the Bellwood-Antis Thon Committee held an assembly for senior high students to raise awareness of the work of the Four Diamonds Foundation, which raises money for families whose children are receiving cancer treatment. Tom Whitehead spoke to the students about the battle his daughter Emily fought against Leukemia starting when she was five years old. She was the recipient of a ground-breaking treatment that saved her life and changed the ways doctors around the world treat the disease. Later, Thon committee organizers told students about the Thon dance they’re hosting on March 2, and all of the perks that go along with signing up.
