What do you do for the Blueprint?

I am a sports writer for the Blueprint. I write about any scholastic sports throughout the school year.

What do you enjoy about Blueprint?

I enjoy that I can go in first period and catch up on all the sports that happen and look at all the stats then write a story on it. It only really takes one period to write the story and it’s pretty easy if you like sports. Being able to look at stats and highlights first thing in the morning is a good way to start the day and the class is really laid back.

What’s the best or favorite story you have done so far?

My favorite story to write was probably the last story from football season “Making Sense of the Blue Devil Season” it was my favorite because the football team had a really good run and getting the quotes you could tell everyone was emotional about the loss at the end of the season but the entire program still knew the season was a success in their undefeated season.

What would you tell a person considering doing Blueprint?

If you need a credit and you are into being informed about what is going on in the school and a relaxing first period where your only expectation is to put out 1 or 2 stories a week then you will like Blueprint. It’s cool to know all the stats and all the scores of the events and it isn’t very hard to write a story. It’s a full credit that is worth taking for a relaxing first period every day.
