B-A’s Defensive Coordinator, William Crowell, is prepared for tomorrow’s game.

We need to be prepared to shut their run game down and force them to throw the ball.

— Coach Crowell

“We need a solid, well focused week of practice. Mo valley is a run-first team with a big offensive line,” he said. “We need to be prepared to shut their run game down and force them to throw the ball.”

While Valley has is passing for just 70 yards per game, the Knights have run for 585 yards this season, led by Jon Dale’s 499.

Crowell has been very pleased with how the team has been doing and thinks they will continue to do well throughout the season. B-A is currently allowing just 12 points per game.

“Our team has been working hard to improve each week as the season progresses. We need to continue improving and getting better at the little things that make a good team great,” Coach Crowell said.

Bellwood’s defense has been solid in previous games. Evan Pellegrine has been huge on tackles for a loss with six out of B-A’s ten. Nick Plank, Trentin Whaley, Caden Nagle and TJ Wyland also contributed to the list of tackles in the backfield.

B-A is averaging 11 sacks a game and 2 interceptions.

The Devils are also averaging 227 rushing yards a game thanks to key runners  Kost,  Frederick,  Plank and  Boyer.

Frederick has 300 yards on the season, Kost has 162, Plank has 132 and Boyer has 130 all adding up to the teams total rushing yards of 911.

The Blue Devils have been on their toes for every game and it shows.
