Bellwood-Antis Middle School and High School art students’ work was displayed at the Blair County Arts Festival on Saturday May 17th to the 18th at Penn State Altoona.

High School Art teacher, Mrs. McNaul, told BluePrint a bit about what happened at the festival along with what artwork our students showed.

“When you enter you are welcomed by carnival food and local bands.  Across the stream was a row of tents where professional artists sold their work. Local school bands played in the pavilion and local art students K-12 displayed in the Adler Gym,” she said.

Other attractions included kids’ tent that had activities and crafts, along with dance companies that preformed.

Mrs. McNaul and her students have been displaying art for the past 4 or 5 years at the festival.

“We hope everyone will come out and support us and enjoy all the activities at the festival,” Mrs. McNaul said.

Art Students like Elizabeth Miller, Amanda Wetz, Amanda Albright, Alyssa Long, Ashley Wertz, Meghan Claar, and Selena Damiao’s work was displayed.

“I’m very happy that everyone got to see my artwork. My favorite was displaying my Hannibal Lector painting,” said Elizabeth Miller, when asked about how she felt about her work being displayed.

“I was excited to check out the rock bands.” she added.

“I loved the food! The venders were really cool. My favorite was this one with really cool watches,” said Grace Misera.
