Mr. Hughes, BAMS Physical Education teacher and his wife, Mrs. Hughes, a first grade teacher at Myers Elementary, work in the same school district but in different buildings. We were wondering about some of their favorite and least favorite parts of working together. Read on to find out what they told us.

We first talked with Mrs. Hughes…

Question 1: What is one of the best parts about getting to work in the same district as Mr. Hughes?

Mrs. Hughes: Same schedule. We have the same days off.

Question 2: Do you ever wish you could be right down the hall from each other?

Mrs. Hughes: No! He would eat all my candy.

Question 3: Was it part of the plan to work in the same district?

Mrs. Hughes: No, I subbed for Mrs Cook originally.

Question 4: If you had to be a gym teacher for a day, how do you think you would do?

Mrs. Hughes: Hmm, I think I would be awesome! (Her students were laughing and yelling “Bad” in the background!)

Question 5: Have you ever thought about working in the middle school?

Mrs. Hughes: N.O. No! I like the little kids. Down here they’re always excited to learn!

We then asked Mr. Hughes similar questions…

Question 1: What is one of the best parts about getting to work in the same district as Mrs. Hughes?

Mr. Hughes: It’s nice to know we always have the same schedule.

Question 2: Do you ever wish you could be right down the hall from each other?

Mr. Hughes: No.

Question 3: Was it part of the plan to work in the same district?

Mr. Hughes: No. We met when I was working here and she was subbing. She didn’t have a full-time job yet.

Question 4: If you had to be a first-grade teacher for a day, how do you think you would do?

Mr. Hughes: Not well.

Question 5: Have you ever thought about working in the elementary school?

Mr. Hughes: Nope.

We hope you learned more about Mr and Mrs Hughes. We know we did!
