After last weeks overtime-thriller victory over the Tyrone Golden Eagles by a score of 35-32, the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils head up the mountain tonight to take on the Glendale Vikings.

Glendale enters this week after taking down the Pirates of Williamsburg by a score of 26-14. Both victories by B-A and the Pirates came with notable performances from both the offensive and defensive sides.

For Glendale, junior quarterback Garret Misiura completed 1 of 5 pass attempts for a total of 22 yards while having a touchdown and interception. Garret’s one completion was to senior Cory Johnson, who also led the team in tackles with 10. Senior Tristin Rutter’s strong performance led the Vikings in rushing yards with a total of 142 on 12 carries, adding 2 touchdowns himself. Lastly, two strong Vikings, senior Austin Clarkson and junior Colt Bickford each contributed 3 sacks  to hold up the defense for the win.

As for the mighty Blue Devils, senior quarterback Trevor Miller put up 144 yards on 10-of-20 pass attempts while recording a touchdown and an interception. Junior Zach Mallon came up big with 3 touchdowns while also going for 60 yards on 13 carries. Leading in reception yards was senior Troy Walker, who had 5 receptions for 85 yards while also punching in a touchdown of his own.

Defensively, Nick Plank put down 10 tackles, while seniors Lincoln Boyer and Evan Pellegrine each put in a sack a piece.

This matchup tonight will definitely bring not only excitement, but will feature some big names in the conference. It is the ICC opener for B-A, while Glendale is 1-0 after defeating the Pirates.

With both of these teams putting up promising performances from last week, it may be interesting who will come out with the win.
