Blue Devils smack West Branch

B-A wins second straight in dominating fashion

Bellwood-Antis does it again!

Last Friday, B-A crushed West Branch with a score of 49-0 to improve to 2-1.  It was the Blue Devils’ second straight blowout win.

B-A players said there are challenges even when playing games that you win by a heavy margin.

“We use these games to get better for teams like Mount Union and heading into playoffs.  We always say to focus on the task at hand,” senior Cameron Wood.

“We don’t take any games lightly,” added in senior Kyler Lardieri

Wood, with 7 carries in 38 yards, and Lardieri, with 4 carries in 59 yards, both scored two touchdowns and Randy Zitterbart score another touchdown for the Devils.

Junior quarter Back Jake Burch completed 4 of 6 passes for 160 yards.

“If we don’t know what’s going on we can find out in that game so it’s kind of like practice,” said senior Lardieri.

“We’re still young; Ryan Bouslough is our only two year starter (on the line).  All we know is we had to step up and give our best,” said senior Trenton Creppage.

Sophomore Ethan McGee caught a 96-yard pass from Sophomore Jarrett Taneyhill in the fourth quarter of the game, which set a record for  the longest pass completion in program history and the fourth longest scoring play as well.
