The Bleacher Report: Jr. High Boys’ Basketball

On Friday, December 6, the B-A junior high boys’ basketball team played Tyrone for their first game of the 2019-20 season. Unfortunately, Tyrone beat Bellwood 48-35. The team is coached by Mr. Martin and Mr. Beiswinger.
We interviewed seventh grader Max Belis, and he shared his thoughts about the loss. “We played a decent game, but there was one thing that brought us down: turnovers. We had a little too many. They were a strong team, but we definitely have the chance to beat them in the future. However, I think that we were strong with our rebounds.”
Following the Christmas break, the B-A hoopsters lost to Juniata Valley on January 2, but they are hoping to regroup when they play Spring Cove on January 6.
We wish this year’s team good luck for the rest of their season. We hope they finish with a winning record!
