Last Friday, Bellwood-Antis beat Juniata Valley 48 -7, giving BA a 3-1 record.

This sets B-A up for an epic showdown against undefeated Mount Union this Friday at Memorial Field.

Senior Zach Mock gave B-A the lead with two touchdowns in the first quarter.

By the second quarter, Matt McMillan, Jake Burch and Kyler Lardieri had scored to make it 34-0.

Senior lineman Ryan Bouslough said, “We played pretty well. Our defensive line did a good job of rushing the quarterback and we really shut down their run game.”

Senior Matt McMillan, who played in his first game since the Backyard Brawl, said, “We gained confidence. For me, coming back from an injury, it was easier to get adjusted to the game.”

During halftime, the Homecoming Court winners were announced.  Because there were six girls on the court, there were three runners up this year.  Third runner up was Alayna Roberts, second runner up was Kelly Leamer, first runner up was Meghan Claar and B-A’s Homecoming Queen was Paige Padula.

Mock scored his third touchdown in the third quarter and sophomore Sawyer Kline scored his first varsity touchdown in the fourth.

This Friday’s game is going to be a good one.  B-A goes up against Mount Union, who is undefeated.

Bouslough said, “It’s going to be a really good game. It’s going to come down to our defensive line again. We gotta put pressure on Javon Walker and secondary will need to be on point.”

McMillan added, “Our senior group beat their’s twice in 9th grade, not that you can make a prediction based on that, so it will be close. They pass a lot, so we need to shut that down.”

Come out to watch the game and see if the Blue Devils can end the Trojans hopes of an undefeated season.
