This Friday, BA will host Everett at Memorial Stadium in its first home game. The few fans allowed to attend will be wearing a face covering and maintaining a 6-foot distance from everyone.
But, 32 years ago, in September of 1988, Bellwood-Antis football fans were attending a pre-game bonfire pep rally night at the high school football practice field in preparation for a game against Bishop Guilfoyle. During that era, pep rallies and bon fires were a major part of the B-A school experience.
Now, our last pep rally was Meet the Devils for basketball and wrestling prior to the the 2019-2020 season, and the chances of having pep rallies during COVID restrictions are slim.
