The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis co-op girls soccer team battled Penns Valley on Saturday afternoon. The Rams sat at a 7-1 record going into this game and the Lady Eagles took them to the very end.

Scoring was hard to come by as the game was tied 0-0 at the half. Both defenses continued to hold strong in the second half and the game went into overtime. After two overtime periods the Rams squeaked out the victory, beating the Lady Eagles 2-1.

Penns Valley improves their record to 8-1 and Tyrone drops to 4-3-1.

The Lady Eagles won’t have to wait long to get their revenge on the Rams as they play them again on Monday night. Tyrone looks to get their offense going early and keep up the intensity on defense.
