The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis co-op boys soccer team got its week started off against Clearfield on Monday night.

Tyrone lost by a score of 6-3.

The boys were shutout in the first half trailing 2-0. Tyrone’s offense came to life in the second half scoring 3 goals, including a goal from senior Alex Taylor. Unfortunately the Eagles didn’t play well on defense, surrendering 4 goals in the second half.

Tyrone’s next game will be played Wednesday night where they’ll travel to Huntington to take on the Bearcats.  The boys try to bounce back from their loss and get a winning streak started.

At 5-7, Tyrone is still in line for a berth in the District 6 4A playoffs, which has an open tournament format. The Eagles are currently ranked No. 3 in the district.

The Eagles have a talented team, but struggle to be consistent in their play.
