Last night the boys basketball team traveled to Claysburg to take on the Bull Dogs in an ICC showdown.

The Blue Devils started off strong and never looked back, securing a 52-34 victory.

A 23-point first quarter set a strong tone for the Blue Devils early, and a 14 point second quarter boosted the boys to a 37-16 lead going into the half. Claysburg looked to have a short burst of life in the fourth quarter as they outscored B-A by 7 points, but by then Coach Pat Cassidy had gone deep into his bench and the pushsimply wasn’t enough to hold the Blue Devils back.

Zach Miller led the team with 14 points, followed by Connor Gibbons with 11, and Zach Mallon with 10.

This win, the second in a row for the Devils, puts BA at (9-6) on the season, and bumps Claysburg down to (1-12). The Blue Devils jumped one spot in the District 6 3A playoff rankings thanks to the victory, advancing to No. 5.

The Blue Devils next contest will be tonight when they host Juniata Valley.
