Kyler Lardieri scored two touchdowns against the Rockets and had more than 150 all-purpose yards to help jumpstart the Blue Devils.

Senior Kyler Larderi, is athlete of the week!

As any football fan knows, a kick and punt return can change the whole game’s momentum. Lardieri changed last week’s game against Southern Huntingdon when he returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown.

Larderi has an average of 19 yards per returns this season. He has also had 17 solo tackles, and 2 assisted tackles this season. I guess you could say Larderi is unstoppable so far.

Larderi has a total of 246 rushing yards for an average 9.5 each carry and 426 receiving yards averaging to 16 each catch, and a total of 7 touchdowns.

Blueprint: How long have you been playing football? What made you decide to play?

Larderi: I’ve been playing football since I was 6 years old. My dad played football and I wanted to be like him.

Blueprint: How do you prepare for games? The opponent?

Larderi: We watch films on the teams we play and study their plays.

Blueprint: As a senior what’s your goal for this football season?

Larderi: To win districts.

Blueprint: How do you feel about what you’ve accomplished so far this year?

Larderi: I’m happy with what we have done so far for this year but also disappointed with some losses.

Blueprint: How important is the big-play ability you bring to the team?

Larderi: It is very important. We have a lot of big play makers on the team. It’s also good because sometimes we just need a jump start with a big play.

Blueprint: How are you able to do so many things well: running, receiving, kick returns?

Larderi: I give a lot of credit to the line. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without them.
