On Tuesday, Mr. Mathew Matthew McNauls’ law classes went on a field trip to the Blair County Courthouse to learn about the law and meet with local law enforcement officials.

Twenty-five students from 10-12 grade went to the courthouse, which is located in Hollidaysburg. The trip included speaking with Judge Jolene Kopriva, meeting with the state police, visiting an actual courtroom within the Courthouse. As an added bonus, students also had the opportunity of seeing a helicopter and using a radar gun to monitor traffic.

Troopers Chris Fox and Cathy Lithgow helped lead their tour.

“We went to show the processes studied in class, investigation and court processes,” said Mr. McNaul, who added that the trip was very beneficial and enjoyed by all of the students who attended.
