The Bellwood-Antis football team fell to No. 1 seeded Bishop Guilfyole in the District 6-A semifinals Friday at Mansion Park. The unbeaten Marauders raced to a 41-0 lead at halftime and won going away, 48-7.
Bellwood-Antis’ lone touchdown came from senior Matt McMillan.
“I went thinking we were going to win. I knew it would be tough, but I was certain we would come out on top,” said senior Tyson Miller
It’s sad to say that this year’s football season comes to an end so early. It has been a privilege to stand along side these men every Friday night since the first game of the season. I wish the seniors of 2015 good luck in their future and I hope they keep in touch with each other. They aren’t just a team, they’re also a family.
“The shock of the loss hits me much harder than losing in a regular season game,” said Miller.
