Operation Our Town is hosting an essay contest..
Operation Our Town will be hosting an essay competition for student’s grades 6th-12th in Blair & surrounding counties for those 11 or older. Attendants must write an essay about the best ways to avoid peer pressure (300-500 words). The winner will be allotted a $250 gift card for Meadows Original Frozen Custard in Hollidaysburg. Sign up deadline, Friday, November 4, 2022.
Pennsylvania American Legion Scholarships is also holding an essay writing competition for students, grades 9th-12th, enrolled in a Pennsylvania school. The topic is to be determined but must include between 500-1000 words. Cash prizes for winning contests range from $3,500-$2,500.
