Basketball Season is Upon Us
Last Friday, the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils girls’ and boys’ basketball teams shot off their season.
The Bellwood boys’ basketball team put up a fight, but ended up losing to Tyrone with a score of 61-51. Nathan Davis led the boys’ team with 14 total points during the game. Ethan McGee, Noah D’Angelo, and Joey Padula also helped out the team with double-figures.
The Bellwood girls’ team started off their season with a bang. Last Friday, the Bellwood girls’ played against host Hollidaysburg in the Lester McCall Memorial Tip-Off Tournament.
Ana Hollen led the Bellwood girls’ team, scoring 23 points in a 53-47 win over the Tigers taking them into the tournaments championship. Kelly Leamer and Karson Swogger helped the team with double-figures.
Then, last Saturday, the Bellwood girls’ team lost in the tournament finals to Blairsville, but Ana Hollen and Kelly Leamer made the all-tournament team.
