The Blue Devils traveled to Sidman Friday night to take on Forest Hills. B-A was banged up heading into the game after Holden Schreier sat out due to an injury and Jackson Dorminy and Martin Fatzinger were sidelined by illness. B-A was challenged by a physical Ranger’s defense. The boys were unable to get started on offense.
Bellwood-Antis fell with a 59-24 final. The Ranger’s advanced to 14-1 on the year.
Forest Hills quickly got going on offense. The Ranger’s picked up 16 in the first and added 24 more in the second quarter.
Sophomore Connor Mayes was the only Blue Devil to reach double digits points. He registered 14 points despite the rest of the team’s struggle.
“We trusted Coach’s game plan, and we worked hard to try and execute it,” Mayes stated.
B-A trailed 40-18 going into the second half. The Ranger’s picked up right where they left off adding 14 more in the third.
Forest Hills Dylan Stohon led the offense with 21 points. Easton Gramling was able to follow in his footsteps landing 14 of his own.
The Ranger’s outscored the Blue Devils 6-0 in the fourth to amount to the 59-24 final.
B-A now hits the road to Martinsburg to face off against the Central Dragons. The game will be played Wednesday at 7:15. The Dragons are 9-3 on the season and beat B-A 59-29 in their last matchup.
