Who doesn’t like some freshly baked blackberry cheesecake? Eli Orsborne sure does!
Home Ec is a course you can take once in high school here at B-A. Its a subject/class that teaches practical skills for everyday life, particularly those related to home management and personal care.
It’s a range of things like cooking, baking, sewing, budgeting, child care and more.
Eli excels at each of these activities because of his attitude, said teacher Ms. Val Harris.
“He is always doing a good job and always a very good worker, he’s always willing to learn,” she said.
For these reasons Eli was selected as this week’s Artist of the Week.
To Eli being the Artist of the Week gives him mixed emotions.
He likes baking his favorite thing, blackberry cheesecake. He also enjoys cooking different recipes which is what his class tends to do the most.
He enjoys the class and thinks people would like it too.
He says, “It’s fun and the teacher is very nice. She helps me answer any questions I may have while cooking.”
He also thinks it’s cool that you can chose how you make your food.
