B-A hosted the Juniata Valley Hornets Saturday. A strong pitching effort by Palynn Gregg and a strong offensive start pushed the Lady Devils to a 6-2 win.
The Lady Devils advance to 8-9 on the season while Juniata Valley moved to 8-9-1.
The Hornets picked up one run in the first inning following an RBI double off the bat of Braelyn Hall. B-A soon responded in the bottom half.
B-A responded with a three run inning. Abby Clabaugh, Palynn Gregg, and Payton Koozer all doubled Saturday. Gregg drove in two runs.
Juniata Valley added one more in the second but B-A once again responded putting up two in the second.
Amyra Snyder contributed a multi-hit game while knocking in a run. The Lady Devils had five different players with at least one RBI in the win.
The bats went quiet until the fifth inning when B-A got some insurance to bring the score to 6-2.
Palynn Gregg got the win Saturday only allowing one earned run and striking out four.
The girls play their final game of the season Monday against Huntingdon. The Bearcats are 12-6 and are coming off a 1-0 win against Philipsburg-Osceola.
