People normally buy puppies to have them to grow up with your family and so that you can train them the way you want when they’re young.

National Rescue Dog Day, celebrated on May 20, was created to being awareness to these animals.
Dogs come in all different shape, sizes, age, and colors, starting with the smallest chihuahua to the biggest English Mastiff. We all have our favorite breed. Some of the most popular ones being the Chihuahua, French Bulldog, Golden Retriever, and the German Shepard.
But rescue dogs offer something different. While one might be able to search for a favorite breed, the joy of a recuse dog comes in knowing you helped left one of man’s best friends from a difficult circumstance.
Rescue dogs can provide many benefits, from performing as therapy dogs or simply being the family pet.
There are many ways to recognize National Rescue Dog Day. You could adopt a rescue dog, of course, but if you aren’t ready for that level of commitment you could also foster a dog for a period of time or just visit a shelter.
