Boys soccer pick up tenth win
With the Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis boys soccer team nearing the end of the regular season, the Golden Eagles picked up their tenth win in thrilling fashion last night at War Vets Field in Huntingdon.
Bellwood-Antis junior Noah Gulvas scored a second half goal that turned into the game winner, leading the Eagles to a 2-1 win over Huntingdon.
The win solidified a double-digit victory season as the team improved to 10-5.
Tyrone junior Tytus Novak scored in the first half for the Eagles, with the assist from Gulvas. Later, Tyrone freshman Brenson Davis assisted Gulvas on his game-winner.
“This game finally showed everyone what our team is all about,” stated Gulvas. “We brought the energy we needed, played a complete game, and battled adversities throughout the game. It feels great to get on the score sheet again this year and even better that it was such a deciding goal on the game. This game will definitely be a game we look back on, and it brought out a great team win to get us to double digit wins.”
