D’Angelo nets 50th goal
Volleyball team beats Juniata Valley

Bellwood-Antis Senior Noah D’Angelo reached a milestone when he scored his 50th career goal last night against Central. D’Angelo has now shattered the previous record for goals in a career, 30.
The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis boys’ soccer team won 2-1, with both goals coming from Noah D’Angelo, who now has 18 goals on the season. The team was provided with fantastic defense thanks to Nic Mallory, Alex Schmoke, and Blake Johnston.
The boys’ next game is Thursday night at Tyrone. It is Senior Night, come out and support the team.
The Bellwood-Antis girls’ volleyball team improved to 9-1 last night when they beat Juniata Valley in four sets, 25-27, 25-13, 25-9, and 25-14. B-A was led by Sophie Damiano’s 13 service points, 16 kills and nine blocks. They also got key contributions from Abby Luensman (three blocks, 17 digs, 28 assists), Gabby Troutman (14 service points, eight aces), Kamryn Mercer (14 service points), and Alexis Parson (11 service points).
The Bellwood boys’ and girls’ cross country teams both had a meet last night against West Branch. Jake Miller led the boys’ with 20:21 as it they 29-29, but Bellwood won the tiebreaker for having the sixth-place finisher with the best time. Stephanie Mills finished in fourth for Bellwood in 25:33 as the Lady Blue Devils fell to West Branch.
Both the boys’ and girls’ record is now 4-3.
Last but not least the Tyrone/Bellwood girls’ tennis team had a match against Windber last night. Tina Hollen won the lone game for girls’ as they lost 6-1.
