Senior Jake McCaulley. Athlete of the Week.

Last weekend the Blue Devils sadly lost the first round of District 6-A playoffs.

The Devils had a 7-3 season.

Senior Jake McCaulley is the final athlete of the week for this football season.

Throughout the season McCaulley never had less than 5 tackles per game and occasionally he sacked the quarterback. He also ran 98 times for 473 yards and scored four touchdowns.

For his efforts he is the athlete of the week.

BluePrint: How did you get involved with football?

McCaulley: My dad signed me up when I was 7 for the youth league.

BluePrint: What position do you play and how do you feel about it.

McCaulley: Fullback and middle linebacker. I enjoyed playing the positions.

BluePrint: How do you feel your season went, what would you change about it?

McCaulley: Pretty good. I wish we wouldn’t have lost as much as we did.

BluePrint: What advice do you have for younger players?

McCaulley: Just enjoy it while it lasts.

BluePrint: Do you plan on playing football in college?

McCaulley: Yes.
