AWKWARD.
Today is a day to recognize those awkward moments … which sometimes makes them even more awkward.
You wake up to an ordinary school day and so far things are going great. You woke up early, you had a big breakfast, and you are rocking the latest style. Everything was going swell until you are walking up the steps and you trip slightly (not causing any harm) onto your crush! …AWKWARD.
March 18th is Awkward Moments Day, which means it is time to relive those moments of sheer terror and humiliation. Awkward moments are unavoidable but you can’t help but dread every time that you have mistakenly said the wrong name or was waving to someone who was totally not waving at you.
Today is a day to embrace these flaws in our day that can make or break your attitude. While every person will encounter at least one awkward moment in their life, there are a few people who encounter situations like these practically every day and sometimes more than once a day.
Although there is very little information about how this magnificent day came to exist, significant amounts of people have commented on the irony of this day being the day after St. Patrick’s Day.
Life is too short to fret the small instances of humility that will happen to everyone. Accept the flaws, shake it off, and strut with pride because it isn’t worth fearing the unknown. Life every day to the fullest, regardless of that embarrassing slip and celebrate Awkward Moments Day!
