Derrick Noonan has been wrestling for eight years, he got his start when his friends asked him to wrestle and he’s loved it, putting in a lot of time and dedication into it ever since.

“I liked wrestling a lot and decided to do it,” said Derrick

So far, Derrick has had a great season, with an impressive 12 wins and 4 losses, leaving him with the most wins on the wrestling team.

It is evident that Derrick’s hard work during the offseason is paying off.

With an obvious passion for his sport, Derrick enjoys the reward he gets after weighing in.

“My favorite part about wrestling is getting to eat after weighing in,” he said, “And pinning people”

Looking ahead into the rest of the season, Derrick would like to make it into the 60 points club and place at districts.
