Bellwood-Antis Food Services Director Mrs. Taylor Danko is once again bringing new ideas to breakfasts and lunches at Bellwood-Antis.

Mrs. Danko is bringing National Breakfast week to Bellwood on the week of March 6 to the 10, and she’s got plenty in store, starting with “Take the Breakfast Challenge.”

“Every student who purchases breakfast will get a punch card, and if you get five punches you are entered into a raffle for a basket filled with a gift-card to Martins Convenient Store and goodies,” she said.

Students can either buy their breakfast at the cart in the hallway or in the cafeteria.

Mrs. Danko has done a lot for breakfasts and lunches this year. She has made new recipes, recipes of the month, new desserts and foods, and now the recognition of National Breakfast and Lunch week.

“Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, I wanted to make breakfast here at school good so students get a good start to the day,” said Mrs. Danko.

Mrs. Danko is planning to have a special lunch or breakfast week every month.

Coming up in April, she is planning to have a “Take me out to the Ball Game” theme and wants to have Altoona Curve tickets for the winner.
