The joint Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis co-op soccer team won its first game of the season 4-3 against a good Philipsburg-Osceola team Wednesday in Philipsburg.

Bellwood-Antis sophomore Corey Johnston was a key cog in the Tyrone attack. Johnston finished the game with two goals and two assists, playing a part in all of the Tyrone goals.

The Eagles split its season series with the Mounties last year during a disappointing 4-11 campaign.

This marks the first win of the season for the boys, and a record they hope they can keep up. It’s the first time the team has opened its season with a win since 2013.
