Varsity volleyball player Alexis Parson is a senior this year said that this has been a great last year and she has enjoyed it.

‘The girls I played with this year helped me so much, and I am so proud of how we finished,” Alexis said.

The volleyball team finished its season last week, falling to Ligonier Valley 3 sets to 1 int he first round of the District 6 2A playoffs, but Alexis felt there was a lot to grow on from the loss.

Alexis saw an improvement in herself and her team this season. She said, “I’ve always struggled on the defensive side, so this season I tried to focus on having good passes and lining up with the hitters block.”

Alexis finished the season with 35 assisted blocks and 91 digs to finish among the  best on the team in both categories. On the other side of the net she had 522 kills and 29 assists.

“We (worked)  together and talked well on the court. We also seemed to now bring each other up,” Parson said.

Parsons future plans consist of going to Clarion and majoring in biology and minoring in pre-vet  for her bachelors degree. She then wants to move down south along the coast for vet school for the ensuing 4 years.

We wish Alexis the best in luck in her future plans and goals.
