The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devil basketball team beat Penns Valley away from home 47-42 in a non-conference game on Wednesday.

The Rams and the Blue Devils played a very close game throughout the night, and after the first quarter the Rams were up 12-11. After that the Blue Devils fought back to take the lead at the half 21-20.

As usual, senior Trent Walker was Bellwood-Antis’ biggest threat throughout the game and he finished with 15 points, nine of those from behind the three-point line. Junior TJ Wyland also had a big game, coming up with 12 points, his highest total of the season.

B-A kept their close lead through the third quarter and by the fourth quarter they were leading by two points; 35-33.

In the end B-A won with strong foul shooting, hitting 8 of 13 at the line, and ball control – the Devils turned the ball over only four times.

Now 6-2, B-A will host Glendale Monday before traveling to Juniata Valley Thursday in its biggest ICC clash to date.
