It was a game that the Blue Devils didn’t necessarily have circled on their schedule, but one that, if not taken seriously, could’ve given B-A major trouble.

The Bellwood-Antis boys basketball team was cable to top the Glendale Vikings 69-49 at home last night, although throughout much of the game it was closer than that.

Senior Trent Walker led a trio of B-A seniors in double figures, scoring a game-high 25. Clay Engle added 12 and Tanner Worthing pitched in 10.

The first quarter of the game ended with the Blue Devils (7-2) leading the Vikings (1-7) by only two points. The boys were able to up their game production by a few points in the second quarter but still only led by 7 points at half-time.

The Devils then pulled away in bits and piecing, going up 52-38 at the end of the third before outscoring the Vikings 17-11 in the fourth quarter.

B-A is now 4-0 in the ICC heading into its showdown Thursday in Alexandria against Juniata Valley, which is 5-0 in conference.
