The Junior High scholastic scrimmage team  continued to  roll on Monday with its four wins at its latest meet.

The team competed at the IU08 Office in Altoona.

The team consists of eight students: Caedon Poe, Alex Taylor, Emma Corrado, Aiden Taylor, Zach Amato, Kenneth Robison, John Sloey, and Zach Mallon.

“I feel like I personally did well yesterday, as well as the team,” said freshman Alex Taylor.

On Monday, the team won all four meets, bringing its record to 7-1 with three matches left, against Bishop Guilfoyle, Tyrone, and Bedford.

The team is currently in second place overall.

“It was truly a team effort. All members got a chance to participate and most were able to score some points for the team,” said the team’s coach, Mrs. Kathy Taylor. “We’re optimistic about our chances to make it into the semifinals.”

The top four teams will meet in a playoff round in March.
