From Monday, April 9 to Thursday, April 12, PSEA Central Region will be hosting a book fair at Barnes and Noble.

This event was arranged to benefit “Books for Babies,” a local teacher’s union fundraiser.

“Books for Babies sends books to hospital waiting rooms and we send newborns home with their first book,” said Bellwood-Antis Education Association Vice-President Mr. Patrick Sachse.

A portion of the money spent in the store on these days will go towards the  cause.

For the event, the BAEA is looking for contributions from students and teachers. It could be anything such as a jazz band performance, book readings, or even set up an arts and crafts table! Such events are designed to get as many people through the door as possible, which will generate sales and boost profits for the fundraiser.

So the more students that show up, the more support and publicity, and the more money raised to donate books to hospitals for newborns.

Any students interested should see Mr. Sachse for details and more information.
