Last Friday the Blue Devil football team took on the Juniata Valley Hornets. In a game that was a nail biter until the final seconds, when the Blue Devils put their faith into senior Evan Pellegrine to kick the game winning field goal, and he delivered.

With the game tied at 21-21, Pellegrine kicked a 21-yard field goal to win it for B-A to help the Devils remain undefeated at 3-0.

“The game was crazy and I couldn’t be more proud of all my brothers,” said Pellegrine. “They all played amazing and kept us in the game.”

The BA Blueprint is naming Evan Athlete of the week for his highlight performance in the win.

A three-year starter, this seasons Evan has 23 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and a sack from his position on the defensive line. He is also 10-for-11 in PAT kicks.

Evan may not look like a kicker, but he definitely has the mentality of one. When it comes down to the final seconds he certainly has the “ice in his veins”.

Evan is not only a beast on the football field, but on the wrestling mat as well. Last year Evan competed in the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Association National tournament in Salisbury, Maryland, he finished 3rd in regionals with a 5-1 record.

“In football, I would really like to make it to the District championship game this year,” he said. “My wrestling goal is to make it to states.”
