The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis co-op girls soccer team was coming off of an electrifying overtime victory against Huntington when freshman Lainey Quick kicked the game winning goal as they prepared for another Mountain League game against Bald eagle Area.

Their game on Wednesday against the Lady Bald Eagles was just as exciting. The game went into overtime with the score 2-2. Both defenses held strong and one overtime period wasn’t enough. In the second overtime, Bald Eagle scored and won the game 3-2.

This was a crushing ending for the Lady Eagles, they played a long and hard fought game.

The Lady Eagles played their first non-conference game on Saturday, knocking off undefeated West Branch 2-0. Tyrone now sits at a 3-2-1 record six games into the season.

The boys had their senior night on Saturday against Juniata High School. The boys have struggled throughout the early part of the season, winless in five games. The Eagles were shut out on Saturday 4-0.

The boys look to bounce back from their senior night loss on Monday against Bellefonte. The Red Raiders are first in the Mountain League and the Eagles are set on giving them their first loss of the season.
