Attie Poorman fires to home plate against Moshannon Valley.

The Lady Blue Devils softball team took on the Lady Damsels of Moshannon Valley Tuesday evening. Bellwood was able to absolutely pound Moshannon Valley with a score of 14-4.

The lady blue devils were led by some veteran players with Junior Jaidyn McCracken having three hits and one RBI. Senior Attie Poorman was able to get the win on the mound with eight strikeouts, and on the other side of the plate she was able to secure two RBI’s. Finally senior member Abbey Snyder was able to drive in two more runs

The Blueprint got the chance to speak with senior Abbey Snyder to ask her what it was like fitting into a senior leadership role. Abbey said “after our loss to Mount Union the team really needed a win to get back on track. We were able to get some hits together to get confidence in our hitting lineup. Everyone really contributed, esoecially our upper classmen which is what you want form your leaders.”

This was a dominant performance on both sides of the plate for the Lady Blue Devils to get their first win of the season. The next game for the softball team will be today at Juniata Valley. The girls will look to improve to 2-1.
