The Blue Devil baseball team traveled to Tyrone on Saturday afternoon to take on the Eagles.

Jack Luensmann started and pitched 2 innings for BA, only surrendering 3 runs. Owen Shedlock came in for Luensmann in the 3rd and pitched 3 innings.

The Blue Devils kept it interesting for a while. BA had runners on second and third with no outs in the 4th inning and failed to score a run. At this point the score was 3-1.

The Eagles broke the game open in the 5th inning when they grew their lead to 8-1. Tyrone then went on to score 3 more runs in the 6th to win the game 11-1.

Bellwood played a decent game, but 1 run isn’t going to beat a team like Tyrone.

This loss drops the Devils to 6-4.

BA will travel to St. Joseph’s on Monday. Good luck to the baseball team.
