B-A dominates Tyrone in Brawl
The Bellwood-Antis football team won the annual Backyard Brawl against rival Tyrone 33-13 on Friday at Memorial Stadium.
Zach Pellegrine passed for 228 yards and three touchdowns – two to Sean Mallon and one to Cooper Keen – to lead the Devils’ offensive attack.
It was B-A’s third consecutive win over Tyrone in the Backyard Brawl, which hasn’t happed since the 1990s. The Devils took eight in a row from 1987 through 1994. B-A won from 2000 through 2002, also, but the streak was interrupted when Tyrone topped the Devils in the 2000 District 6 2A championship game.

Couldn’t be more proud of my boys in blue. You guys beat Tyrone the old fashioned way, with grit and determination. Reminds me in my day how we always laid the beatdown on Tyrone and later ransacked their town just to show who’s boss. GO BIG BLUE!
