BAMS Athlete of the Week: Riley D’Angelo

Introducing Riley D’Angelo, the BAMS Athlete of the Week.  Riley plays soccer and has been doing so for 10 years. She loves to play because she loves the people she plays with.

This year she is a member of the first-ever Tyrone/Bellwood soccer team. She has scored an amazing 17 goals career so far to go along with three assists. The team record is 4-4-2.

Riley’s dad, Mike, influenced her on her career because he played soccer at a young age and encouraged her to do the same.

Riley’s goals for next year are to go play on the varsity team and become the lead kicker. After high school, she hopes to go to a D1 college and play soccer there.

Riley’s teammates had nothing but praise for their center midfielder. Brianna Reiter said, “Riley sticks up for her teammates. She is loyal to her team and has a competitive heart in soccer.” Katlyn Hoover added, “She is a great soccer player at soccer and is very respectful to the referee’s and their calls in soccer.

Congrats to Riley for receiving this honor! Keep up the great work!

Stay tuned for next week’s BAMS spotlight athlete…
