This past Saturday, the boys basketball team hosted the 1-8 Everett Warriors in a nail biter ICC matchup.

After a hot start from the warriors, the Devils overcame an eleven-point deficit before the end of the first half. Both teams went shot-for-shot for the second half before a clutch last-second shot from the Warriors forced overtime. With senior Sean Mallon sinking some clutch free-throws, B-A came out on top 67-62.

Senior guards Sean Mallon and Kyler Sweigert fueled the Blue Devil offense with 50 points between the two, 27 from Mallon and 23 from Sweigert.

The Devils, now 4-5, look to improve their record tonight as they travel to West Branch to take on the 1-6 Warriors.

LADY DEVILS TAKE DOWN CURWENSVILLE

B-A’s three-headed monster of Chelsea McCaulsky, Lydia Worthing, and Jaiden McCracken went off against Curwensville last week, leading the Lady Devils to a blowout win, 77-20 in Bellwood.

McCaulsky, Worthing, and McCracken each scored 14 points. Aly Partner and Leigha Clapper scored 7 apiece.

The Lady Tide was outmatched from the start, falling behind 37-7 in the first quarter and starting the running mercy rue clock.

B-A’s game scheduled for Friday against Williamsburg was cancelled because of COVID issues.
