Mock Trial team opening season

The Bellwood-Antis Mock Trial team will be competing at Pennsylvania Bar Association’s against many other school teams in the coming weeks.
Some of the school teams competing include Altoona, Bedford, Central Cambria, Central, Richland, Tyrone, and Windber.
In total there will be 250 teams across Pennsylvania who will be participating in this event. Teams will be tackling the argument of the Commonwealth vs Arcaro.
Members of the B-A Mock Trial team include: Sarah Berkowit, Wyatt McKendre, Madison Brinkma, Lauren Rodland, Andrew Crocker, Abby Eckenrod, Alexis Schratzmeier, Kaitlyn Norris, Emily Zacker, and Trinity Maines.
“We have a lot of fresh faces this year. These new lawyers and witnesses hope to gain real trial experience this year,” said Coach Gary Rhone. ‘They have gained confidence and improved speaking skills. They will be initiated this year facing tough competition. They are eager to get started.”
This will be their first competition of the year since 2021, when the team finished as District runners-up.
The team’s first meet is Feb 10 against Richland and then Feb 24 against Central.
