3 Keys to Victory
In support of Blue Devil Nation and all athletes at Bellwood-Antis, the BluePrint presents its series 3 Keys, where Blue Devil athletes provides our readers inside access to the team’s game plan. Friday, the Blue Devil football team faces Bishop Guilfoyle at Mansion Park in the District 6-A semi-finals, and Devin Burr gave the BluePrint his team’s three keys to punch a ticket to the District finals.
1. Put your team first: To beat a team like BG, they are known to play as a whole team and not just as individuals. So if we going to compete it will take a total team effort, not individual plays or players.
2. Make clutch plays: When big plays are needed, we need to step up and make those plays. Big time plays make big time players then big time players make big time teams.
3. Have a great attitude: We have to be tougher than BG and we have to believe we can win to make it happen. Attitude determines everything that you do. It doesn’t matter how good you are, if we come out with a great attitude, we will win this game. It’s whoever wants it more.
